SUBMIT A COMPLAINT
WHO CAN FILE A COMPLAINT?
Any citizen or legal entity can submit a complaint to the Coordinating Body if they deem that the principles and standards prescribed in the Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda have not been respected on the part of any political parties and their candidates, independent candidates, the broadcasters’ internet editions, online media, fact-checkers, influencers or other entities that may influence the public in favour of a campaign during elections or referenda.
ON WHAT GROUNDS CAN ONE FILE A COMPLAINT?
A complaint can be filed in relation to hate speech, spread of disinformation (false, incomplete, fake or malicious information), discrimination on any grounds, lack of transparency of any political advertising and its funding, unethical use of social media or the official profiles on the social media networks, non-adherence to the rules of electoral silence (more details are contained in the Code).
