Skopje, 31 October 2025 – The Coordinating Body for Monitoring Compliance with the Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda held a session on 31 October 2025, to discuss a complaint submitted by the “Vlen” Coalition against the Focus media outlet concerning an article published on its website, fokus.mk.
In its complaint, the Vlen Coalition states that the article contains allegations of an alleged political bargain, amnesty, and “buying of freedom” between government officials and local political actors. The coalition claims that, without any evidence, documents, or official sources, the article links the Vlen movement with “criminal structures and corruption deals,” thereby violating the Journalists’ Code of Ethics, spreading disinformation and undermining Vlen’s right to an equal and fair media treatment during the pre-election period.
The conclusion adopted by the Coordinating Body regarding the complaint from the Vlen Coalition against the Focus media outlet is available at this link.
