With the aim of raising public awareness about the existence and importance of the Code of Conduct in Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda<\/em>, a series of messages and videos will be released to inform the public about the importance of ethical conduct in the digital space during the electoral process, about the significance of the Code, and the ways to submit a complaint to the Coordinating Body that monitors compliance with the Code. The messages and the videos will be published in both Macedonian and Albanian.<\/p>\n

In this way, this initiative aims to increase the awareness of the subjects to whom the Code applies regarding their responsibility when conducting campaigns in the online space, as well as to promote greater public involvement in identifying and reporting potential violations of the principles and standards for conducting online campaigns. The first published message is: \u201cGet to Know the Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Cycles and Referenda.\u201d<\/p>\n

\ud83d\uddf3\ufe0fDuring election periods, the digital space becomes a key arena for communication. For this reason, the Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda<\/em> was created with the following goals:<\/p>\n

\u2705To prevent disinformation, hate speech, and misuse of personal data<\/p>\n

\u2705To ensure transparency in political advertising<\/p>\n

\u2705To protect the right to accurate information and freedom of expression<\/p>\n

\u2705To promote accountability among media outlets, political actors, and influencers<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcccThe Code was developed at the initiative of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU), in collaboration with the Association of Journalists of Macedonia (ZNM), the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM), the Council of Media Ethics (SEMM), the Institute of Communication Studies (ICS), and the Metamorphosis Foundation.<\/p>\n
