On 12 October 2023, starting at 12:00 hrs, the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services shall launch, in co-organization with the OSCE\/ODIHR, a Code of Conduct in the Online Sphere during Electoral Processes and Referenda.<\/p>\n
The Code was prepared at the Agency\u2019s initiative, in cooperation with the relevant institutions in the field: the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, the Macedonian Institute for Media, the Council for Ethics in the Media, the Institute of Communication Studies and the Metamorphosis Foundation. Expert assistance from OSCE\/ODIHR was used in the drafting process.<\/p>\n
Presented at the event shall be the mode of\u00a0 operating and the role of the Coordinating Body for monitoring compliance with the principles and standards of this Code, and the website, izborenkodeksonline.mk , built especially for the purpose of acquainting the public with the Code and the work of the Coordinating Body.<\/p>\n
Apart from Agency Director Zoran Trajchevski, addressing the present at this event shall be the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Mr. Azir Aliu, the EU Ambassador to the country H.E. Mr. David Geer, the Ambassador of the OSCE Mission, H.E. Mr. Kilian Wahl and Ms. Vittoria Zanellati, MA, and Mr. Vladimir Misev, MA, of the ODIHR. Representatives of several institutions will share their views on the significance of this Code.<\/p>\n
